The purpose of the webinar is to address nursing empowerment as a key factor to success in implementing the Institute of Medicine Future of Nursing Recommendations and in preparing for healthcare reform. Nurses will learn how to assess their own empowerment and how to enhance their sense of empowerment through professional development that addresses nurses’ identified learning needs.
  • Describe nursing empowerment in the workplace.
  • Explain the impact of nurses’ perception of empowerment on the future of nursing and healthcare reform.
  • Discuss the implications of empowerment for nursing practice, education, and research.
