The purpose of this course is to review the history, purpose and collaborative efforts of the TIGER (Technology Informatics Guiding Education Reform) and identify the role it plays in identifying best practices for nurses. After attending this webinar, participants will be able to —
  • Identify the goals and purpose of the TIGER initiative.
  • Explain how TIGER is related to the Meaningful Use agenda of the Office of the National Coordinator.
  • Describe how the TIGER Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) will help implement Meaningful Use.
  • Relate the use of Electronic Health Records (EHRs) to the longer term benefits such as Comparative Effectiveness Research (CER).
