The purpose of this course is to define nursing informatics, discuss the history of the specialty and identify current practice applications and nursing roles. After attending this webinar, participants will be able to —
  • Recognize the development of nursing informatics as a specialty.
  • Identify theories within nursing informatics.
  • Identify how the various nursing informatics roles support various areas of nursing practice.
  • Identify important changes in nursing documentation necessary to support meaningful use and the future of nursing practice.
