The goal of this presentation is to help participants gain an understanding of the provisions of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and its impact on access, treatment and prevention for patients affected by cancer. Upon completion, participants will be able to do the following:
- Discuss the background of the Affordable Care Act
- Discuss the current state of cancer diagnosis and survivorship in the United States
- Identify the impact of the ACA on access to care, treatment and prevention of cancer
- Evaluate the ACA provisions for access, treatment and prevention of cancer
