Learners will be able to connect Florence Nightingale’s legacy, during the 2010 International Year of the Nurse/Nightingale Centennial and beyond, with nurses’ capacities to influence local-to-global health, including the eight UN Millennium Development Goals.
 
After attending this webinar, participants will be able to —
  • Relate Florence Nightingale’s life, work, and insights with her legacy for 21st century nursing and healthcare.
  • Describe the connections between key global health challenges — including UN Development Goals — and the problems and possibilities nurses face today.
  • Identify examples of nurses currently working to advocate for and achieve the UN Millennium Development Goals.
