The purpose of this program is to provide healthcare providers with an overview of the Haitian history, cultural values, and beliefs systems. After attending this webinar, participants will be able to —
- Discuss at least two strategies to increase familiarity with Haitian cultural beliefs and practices.
- Explain the importance of cultural competency for healthcare providers in Haiti.
- Identify potential barriers that will negatively impact the provision of culturally competent care.
