Illinois Board of Nursing State CE Requirements

CE Requirements for RNs:

Beginning with the May 31, 2012 renewal, all registered nurses shall complete 20 hours of approved continuing education per 2 year license renewal cycle. All CE must be completed in the 24 months preceding expiration of the license.

CE Requirements for LPNs:

Beginning with the January 31, 2013 renewal, all licensed practical nurses shall complete 20 hours of approved continuing education per 2 year license renewal cycle. All CE must be completed in the 24 months preceding expiration of the license.
