CE OVERVIEW REVIEWS     
Objectives:
The goal of this webinar is to teach participants how to apply strategies to help their patients, clients, or people in their community maintain adequate hydration for performance, health and safety particularly when the physical demands stress hydration status. Upon completion, participants will be able to:
  • Explain how to estimate fluid loss during exercise and thereby estimate and recommend fluid intake needs of people who exercise or do demanding physical work
  • Identify and describe the detrimental effects of dehydration particularly when one is exercising
  • Identify and describe the detrimental effects of over hydration, or hyperhydration that can lead to hyponatremia
  • Identify and describe the benefits of maintaining proper hydration in active individuals
