Objectives:
The goal of this presentation is to discuss infection prevention and would healing in regard to C-section procedures. Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
  • Discuss common etiologies that can contribute to C-section wound infection
  • Identify three interventions that may reduce C-section surgical site infections
  • Recognize two important considerations for staff and patient education regarding the use of interventions for both high and low risk patients
