The goal of this presentation is to describe the prevention, diagnosis, presentation, assessment, and experience of delirium in general with discussion points focused on the geriatric adult. Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
  • Describe delirium
  • Discuss the potential risks for patient who experiences delirium
  • Classify predisposing and precipitating factors for delirium
  • Identify the prevention measures that can reduce delirium’s occurrence
  • Recognize four features that can indicate the presence of delirium
