The goal of this presentation is to discuss sleep as a behavior that is important to health status, the consequences of sleep loss, sleep and sleep-related problems assessment and therapies to promote better sleep with the aim of decreasing stress by improving sleep behavior. Upon completion, participants will be able to:
  • Articulate how sleep manifests as a behavior and the consequences of sleep loss
  • Identify assessment factors based on dominant signs and symptoms of common sleep and sleep-related disorders
  • Employ behavioral change strategies to promote better sleep.
