Objectives:
The goal of this presentation is to discuss community/public health nursing in general and to specifically consider the history of, interventions for, and leadership possibilities within this arena.
Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
  • Examine the evolution of community based and population focused public health nursing (PHN) roles that address extant, complex community level problems 
  • Describe core PHN competencies that undergird evolving community based and population focused PHN roles
  • Associate an ethnographically-informed and community participatory model of community and environmental assessment as the basis for designing community based and population focused prevention programs
