The goal of this presentation is to teach healthcare professionals how to use the mindful eating cycle to help patients with diabetes or prediabetes develop healthy eating habits. Upon completion, participants will be able to:
- List the six decision points in the Mindful Eating Cycle
- Practice and describe a Mind-Body-Heart Scan
- Use a Hunger and Fullness Scale in diabetes self-management
- Use the mindfulness principle of curiosity to teach blood glucose management
