The goal of this presentation is to teach healthcare providers how to assist patients/clients make lifestyle changes to effectively manage diabetes mellitus. Upon completion, participants will be able to:
  • Discuss pathophysiology and prevalence of DM
  • List three theories of behavior change
  • Identify three approaches to problem solving for self-management behaviors
