Objectives:
The goal of this emergency drug therapy continuing education program is to update nurses’ knowledge of emergency drugs and their use. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to —
  • Identify emergency cardiovascular drugs and their use based on evaluated evidence from the 2010 International Consensus Conference of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care Science with Treatment Recommendations.
  • Indicate appropriate drug interventions in cardiopulmonary arrest situations based on current guidelines.
  • Relate expected patient outcomes to individual emergency drugs.

This course will be updated or discontinued on or before 2/6/2015
