CE OVERVIEW REVIEWS     
Objectives:
This course has been approved for 2 hours by the Commission on Case Manager Certification for 2017.
 
The purpose of this continuing education program is to familiarize nurses, physical therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare providers with evidence-based heart failure care for patients in the acute inpatient care setting. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to:
  • Identify common diagnostic tests that are used in the diagnosis and treatment of HF
  • Describe evidence-based therapies for stages C and D HF
  • Discuss strategies for patient self-management and transition of care
  • Discuss how the interprofessional team can improve outcomes for patients with acute HF 
 
The Florida Board of Nursing will not accept contact hours offered in tenth hour increments (example: 1.6 contact hours). Course contact hours will be rounded down to the nearest half hour (example: 1.6 contact hours becomes 1.5 contact hours, 1.4 contact hours becomes 1.0 contact hours). This course will be reported to CE Broker for FL RNs, LPNs, ARNPs, and CNSs as 1.0 hours.
