Objectives:

The goal of this program is to provide nurses with evidence-based information about Ebola virus disease (EVD) to guide detection of cases, prevent transmission of infection, and safely manage patients with the disease. After studying the information provided here, you will be able to:
  • Describe the clinical features of EVD
  • Explain the screening process for the identification of probable and possible cases of EVD
  • Identify appropriate isolation precautions to use to safely manage patients with EVD.
