Objectives:
The goal of this ischemic heart disease (IHD) continuing education module is to provide registered dietitians, nurses, dietary managers, health educators and physical therapists with updated information on the role of diet and nutrition in preventing IHD in women. After completion of this course, you will be able to:
  • Discuss the various risk factors that cause women to develop IHD
  • Explain recommended strategies to prevent IHD in women
  • Describe dietary changes and other modifications that define a heart-healthy lifestyle
