The goal of this program is to provide nurses, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with information about generic drugs, the process of approval and cases in which generics can be substituted for brand-name drugs. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to:

  • Describe the barriers to generic drug dispensing
  • Discuss patient education needs related to generic drugs
