Objectives:
The goal of this continuing education program is to provide nurses, EMTs/paramedics, health educators, pharmacists and physicians with information about HPV vaccines to prevent cervical cancer and other HPV-related diseases. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to:
  • Describe the criteria for which these vaccines have been approved for use in the United States
  • Discuss the manifestations of HPV infection in males and females
  • Discuss education and support resources for patients and parents/guardians about HPV and its sequelae
