The goal of this continuing education program is to provide nurses and health educators with up-to-date information on the health effects of exposures to indoor mold. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to:
  • Discuss at least two conditions that make the indoor environment favorable for the growth of mold
  • Describe two adverse health effects that are unequivocally associated with exposure to molds
  • Explain three ways mold can be prevented indoors
