Objectives:
The purpose of this continuing education module is to instruct nurses, paramedics and EMTs, health educators, pharmacists, physical therapists and physicians on recent developments in the biopsychosocial aspects of middle-aged men’s health. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to:
  • Explain male adult and early childhood psychosocial development and the link to middle-age behaviors and psychiatric problems
  • Describe the physical, sexual, emotional, and behavioral effects of testosterone on the middle-aged male
  • Describe health and psychological risk factors for disease and death for middle-aged men and healthy lifestyles that can mitigate these risks
