The goal of this picky eaters continuing education program is to update healthcare professionals’ knowledge of basic nutrition and fitness for the well child, and how to handle problematic feeding behaviors. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to:
  • List developmental and physiological causes of picky eating
  • Discuss key nutrients in the diets of toddlers and identify red flags in either the diet or behavior that require referral for further intervention
  • List four realistic solutions to toddlers’ picky eating
