Objectives:
The goal of this program is to update the clinical knowledge of nurses, dietitians/nutritionists, health educators, dietary managers, EMTs and paramedics, physicians and social workers about screening, identifying and treating the most common types of anxiety disorders. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to:
  • Define anxiety and identify two causes
  • Describe the common symptoms and treatments of five anxiety disorders
  • Relate two important questions to ask a patient when screening for anxiety disorders
