The purpose of this webinar is to discuss the recommendations of the IOM/RWJF Future of Nursing report as it relates to education and professional development. It will also provide nurses with information about why these recommendations are important to the nursing profession, healthcare, and individual practice. After attending the webinar, you will be able to —
  • Describe the purpose of the Institute of Medicine’s (IOM) The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health report.
  • Explain why past efforts to reform the nursing workforce and education policies failed.
  • Discuss how you can make a difference to support nurses’ educational advancement and lifelong learning.
