The goal of this program is to provide healthcare professionals with an in-depth overview on Hispanic cancer survivorship and culturally sensitive recommendations on how to promote healthy lifestyle changes among this fast growing population. Upon completion, participants will be able to:
  • Describe Latino culture, demographics and cancer statistics
  • Identify specific survivorship needs that affect the Latino community and ways to provide culturally sensitive care
  • Describe nutrition habits as they relate to Latino cancer survivors
  • Define the importance of exercise and other healthy lifestyle habits for Latino cancer survivors
