Objectives:
The goal of this continuing education program is to enhance nurses’, dietitians’, dietary managers’ and respiratory therapists’ understanding of information provided in a standard complete blood count (CBC). After studying the information presented here, you will be able to:
  • Define each standard component of a CBC
  • Categorize three common anemias based on findings of the CBC
  • Describe three relationships between the components of a CBC
