Objectives:
The goal of this program is to provide dietitians with information to describe definitions, prevalence and treatment of eating disorders. After completing this program, the dietitian will be able to —
  • Understand the different types of eating disorders and their respective diagnostic criteria.
  • Discuss the importance of a team approach to eating disorder treatment and clarify the dietitian’s role within the medical team.
  • Identify treatment priorities when planning the nutritional management of eating disorders.
