The goal of this module is to provide radiologic professionals with a broad overview of breast cancer risk factors, diagnostic and treatment modalities, and psychosocial support for patients diagnosed with breast cancer. After you study the information presented in this learning module, you will be able to —
  • Discuss early detection guidelines and risk factors for breast cancer.
  • Identify diagnostic and treatment modalities for breast cancer.
  • Describe interventions and supportive strategies used for patients who are navigating the breast cancer journey.

This course is designed for radiology techs.
This activity is approved for Category A continuing education credit by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) for 4/11/2012 to 5/1/2017.
