The goal of this program is to update and enhance knowledge about end-of-life care in patients and its application in any setting. After you study the information presented here, you will be able to —

  • Describe physical and psychosocial issues associated with dying patients.
  • Identify two cultural variations to dealing with dying patients.
  • Describe two healthcare interventions for grieving families.

Educational Gap: Physician is unable to identify and and handle end of life issues.
