Objectives:
A new version of this course is now available, CE727, "Safety First: The Joint Commission’s National Patient Safety Goals for 2015" This version will be discontinued February 15, 2015. Please plan to complete the test before the end of January 14, 2015 if you wish to earn contact hours for it.
 
The purpose of this National Patient Safety Goal program is to inform nurses about The Joint Commission’s current NPSGs that apply to hospitals. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to:
  • Name the current goals and elements of performance (requirements)
  • Explain the new goal effective January 1, 2014
  • Describe the intent of the patient safety goals

This course will be updated or discontinued on or before 2/15/2015
