Objectives:
The goal of this program is to provide nurses, dietitians, dietary managers, EMTs and paramedics, fitness professionals, health educators, occupational therapists, radiologic technologists, respiratory therapists and social workers with information about the science of happiness, including evidence-based strategies for improving well-being. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to:
  • Define happiness, positive psychology and well-being
  • State three physiological and three psychological benefits of happiness
  • Describe four evidence-based strategies for increasing happiness
