The goal of this continuing education program for nurses, laboratory professionals and physical therapists is to provide evidence-based recommendations for calcium and vitamin D supplementation in clinical practice. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to:
  • Identify three sources of vitamin D
  • Recall the role of vitamin D in bone health
  • Describe current evidence-based recommendations for dietary reference intakes for vitamin D
