The goal of this program is to give nurses, paramedics and EMTs, occupational therapists and social workers a better understanding of and promote effective assessment and intervention strategies for people who engage in self-injurious behavior. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to:

  • Provide three reasons why people engage in self-injurious behavior
  • Discuss assessment and intervention strategies
