We’re sorry. This course is temporarily disabled for an important update.

This course will be discontinued on October 31, 2016, because a new version of it (CE751 Evidence-Based Care for Your Patient With Acute Heart Failure) is now available.
The goal of this program is to familiarize nurses, physical therapists and physicians with the evidence-based medicine guidelines and clinician priorities for heart failure assessment and management and to prepare them for site compliance with The Joint Commission’s core measures for heart failure (also classified as accountability and care measures). After studying the information presented here, you will be able to:
  • Describe the evidence-based medicine guidelines and patient care priorities for diagnosing and managing heart failure in adults
  • List The Joint Commission’s accountability/core measures for heart failure as well as the measure sets for heart failure listed in the Specifications Manual for National Hospital Inpatient Quality Measures
  • Explain the steps clinicians must take to prepare for The Joint Commission accreditation process

This course will be updated or discontinued on or before 10/31/2016
