Objectives:
The goal of this continuing education program is to update the ability of nurses, paramedics and EMTs, occupational therapists, physical therapists and social workers to recognize and treat adolescent victims of dating violence. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to:
  • Identify signs and symptoms that may indicate an adolescent has experienced dating violence
  • Discuss risk factors for becoming a victim or perpetrator of violence within a dating relationship
  • Relate areas of focus for health care and prevention of dating violence
