Objectives:
The goal of this continuing education program is to provide nurses and physicians with an overview of age-related macular degeneration, including pathophysiology, risk factors, clinical manifestations, diagnosis and treatment options. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to:

  • Identify risk factors associated with AMD
  • Discuss current nursing measures and medical treatments that promote stabilization of AMD and lifestyle adaptation to the disease
