The goal of this continuing education program is to update nurses’, audiologists’, dietitians’, EMTs and paramedics’, laboratory professionals’, massage therapists', occupational therapists’, pharmacists’, pharmacy technicians’, physical therapists’, physicians’, respiratory therapists’ and speech-language pathologists’ clinical knowledge of patients with HIV/AIDS and to meet Florida state relicensure requirements for healthcare professionals. - Describe the effect of antiretroviral therapy (ART), including highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART), on mortality, morbidities, and prevalence of HIV/AIDS
- Identify major infection control measures for HIV
- Identify Florida-specific legislation about HIV testing, confidentiality and access to medical care
