The goal of this continuing education module is to update the ability of nurses, EMTs/paramedics, occupational therapists, physicians and social workers to recognize, evaluate and intervene with women who experience abuse during pregnancy. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to:
  • Recognize barriers to uncovering abuse
  • Identify warning signs and questions that can screen for abuse
  • Develop strategies for intervention with abused women
