Objectives:
The goal of this substance use disorder continuing education program for nurses and social workers is to present clinical information about the co-occurrence of psychiatric and SUDs, and to examine ways of integrating psychiatric and substance abuse care. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to:

  • Describe principles and components of integrated screening and assessment for co-occurring disorders
  • Identify evidence-based integrated treatment approaches for patients with co-occurring disorders
