CE OVERVIEW REVIEWS
Objectives:
This course has been approved for 2 hours by the Commission on Case Manager Certification for 01/15/15 to 01/16/18.

Please note that this course uses much of the content contained in courses CE724 Ebola Virus Disease: Preparation and Prevention and 60208 Ebola: What Nurses Must Know to present an interprofessional focus.

The goal of this program is to provide healthcare professionals with evidence-based information about Ebola virus disease to guide detection of cases, prevent transmission of infection, and safely manage patients with the disease. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to:
  • Describe the clinical features of EVD
  • Explain the screening process for the identification of probable and possible cases of EVD
  • Identify appropriate isolation precautions to use to safely manage patients with EVD

The Florida Board of Nursing will not accept contact hours offered in tenth hour increments (example: 1.6 contact hours). Course contact hours will be rounded down to the nearest half hour (example: 1.6 contact hours becomes 1.5 contact hours, 1.4 contact hours becomes 1.0 contact hours). This course will be reported to CE Broker for FL RNs, LPNs, ARNPs, and CNSs as 1.5 hour.
