The goal of this program is to increase the EMS community’s understanding of pulmonary edema, including risk factors, pathophysiology, signs and symptoms, and treatment. After you study the information presented here, you will be able to —
  • Discuss the pathophysiology of pulmonary edema.
  • Identify four distinct causes of pulmonary edema.
  • Identify appropriate treatment options based on the cause of pulmonary edema.
