The goal of this program is to enhance healthcare providers’ care of patients who present with cardiovascular changes while under the influence of cocaine. After you study the information presented here, you will be able to —
  • Present a profile of cocaine, including incidence of use, action, and administration.
  • List the effects of cocaine on the cardiovascular system.
  • Outline acute cardiac management of a cocaine-intoxicated patient.
