Objectives:
The goal of this program is to educate nurses about the incidence, etiology, signs and symptoms, complications, treatment, and nursing care associated with cerebral aneurysm. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to —

  • List three risk factors associated with the formation of a cerebral aneurysm.
  • Identify four signs or symptoms of subarachnoid hemorrhage caused by a ruptured cerebral aneurysm.
  • Describe two treatment options for patients with a cerebral aneurysm.
