The purpose of this module is to provide nurses, dietitians, paramedics and EMTs, health educators, physicians, radiologic technologists, and speech language pathologists an understanding of stroke, its treatment, and actions to increase public awareness to prevent stroke. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to:
- Differentiate between ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke
- Identify risk factors for stroke
- Describe interventions for patients with stroke
