The purpose of this hyperthermia continuing education module is to inform nurses, dietitians, EMTs/paramedics, fitness professionals, health educators, pharmacists and physical therapists about the causes and prevention of heat-related emergencies, with an emphasis on assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
