Objectives:
The goal of this continuing education program about lupus is to provide healthcare providers, specifically nurses, dietitians, emergency medical professionals, health educators, pharmacists, physicians, and radiologic technologists, with information about the manifestations of systemic lupus erythematosus and the management of people with the disease. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to:
  • Describe the three types of lupus
  • Identify the symptoms of systemic lupus erythematosis
  • Discuss the importance of patient communication as an integral part of healthcare intervention
