Objectives:
The goal of this program is to update nurses’, physical therapists’, physicians’ and radiologic technologists’ knowledge of malignant wounds and ways to manage the associated physical and psychosocial problems. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to:
  • Describe what a malignant wound is and how it develops
  • Discuss five problems associated with malignant wounds and ways to address them
  • Identify psychosocial concerns of patients with malignant wounds and their families
