  • Describe the gap between the number of organs donated and the number of people waiting for transplants.
  • Explain the consent process and reasons some people choose not to donate.
  • Describe the collaborative approach between the organ procurement organizations (OPO) and hospital staff for approaching families with the option of organ donation for their loved ones.
