The goal of this temporary epicardial pacing continuing education program is to increase nurses’ knowledge about temporary epicardial pacing after cardiovascular surgery and the nursing care of patients undergoing this therapy. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to —

  • Describe ways to troubleshoot problems that can occur with temporary epicardial pacing.
